What Causes Wrinkles?

Before we can actually look into how to remove wrinkles, it is wiser to equip ourselves with some knowledge and the underlying principles associated with skin ageing. Skin ageing which eventually leads to wrinkles is due to combinations of intrinsic ( internal ) factors and extrinsic ( external ) factors. The intrinsic factors are natural biological processes originated from stress or metabolic slowdown and whereas the extrinsic factors are from constant exposure to UV rays and reactive oxygen species ( ROS ).

The ROS is required to break down toxins, viruses and micro-organisms in our body but the excess will lead to damage on cells, protein & DNA. As a result of this, it hampers skin from functioning properly which eventually leads to ageing, sagging & wrinkles.
" Wonder if you have heard of the quote “As smooth as a baby’s bum” ?. That will be place where you can find the smoothest piece of human skin in the world. "
Complete avoidance of UV rays is almost impractical, but avoidance during peak solar flux of midday is frequently possible. Protective hats and clothing are practical and highly desirable. UVB rays can only penetrate through the outermost layer of the skin ( epidermal ), leading to elastin and collagen damage and wrinkling. UVA rays on the other hand, can penetrate even deeper into the skin into the dermal area causing more damages. Removing wrinkles can be promoted with the elimination of UV rays exposure. The effect of lifelong UV rays avoidance is easily shown by comparison of the never-exposed skin of the buttocks to even exposed skin of the face.

Wonder if you have heard of the quote “As smooth as a baby’s bum” ?. That will be place where you can find the smoothest piece of human skin in the world. Although wrinkles usually appear only after some years of exposure and are noticeable beginning in the second or third decade of life, other seemingly insidious signs of skin aging, such as freckling, can be shown even in young children, especially those with light skin with high solar exposure as in some countries in Australia and South Africa.

Did You Know? Constant exposure to UVB rays can lead to skin cancer. Therefore, keep away from sunlight as far as possible and wear scarf, hood, hat or any other means when your are at outdoor.
